Projects & research

Mathematics in Industry · Pension Cash-flow & Risk Modelling

Course project

Integrated mortality, monthly pensions, expenses and discount factors using Python, NumPy and Pandas into a 50-year (600-month) cash-flow model. Generated survival paths with 1,000 Monte Carlo simulations, modelled member, spouse and dependant payment rules, and summarised pension and expense present values using means, standard deviations and quantiles, with Excel exports for validation and analysis.

ROADEF 2026 · Adaptive Segment Routing study

2026

Independent, AI-assisted modelling research into Orange’s routing challenge, exploring time-varying demand, link maintenance, ECMP flow splitting and reconfiguration budgets.

Mathematics in Industry · Mathematical visualisation

2025.11

Created Python and Manim animations and educational video scripts explaining modular arithmetic and cryptographic concepts.

National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition · Beijing Second Prize

2025.09

Modelled dynamic visibility for a missile–UAV smoke-screen problem using Python, differential evolution, grid search and time-series discretisation.

Zhengda Cup Market Research Competition · Beijing Second Prize

2025.04

Led the team, designed questionnaires and expert interviews, built statistical models and wrote analytical sections using SOR–SEM, clustering and logistic regression.

Shared-bike Dispatch Optimisation · Challenger Cup project

2025.05

Clustered pick-up and drop-off locations in Python, developed a genetic-algorithm dispatch-routing model and co-authored the technical paper.
